Get this bronzed goddess tan!

In some parts of the world spring has just begun and with it the season of cute sandals,  short dresses and sexy tops  🙂 .

Who doesn’t want to look like a sunkissed, bronzed and glowing goddess? I am sure a lot of us – but not for the cost that comes with laying in the sun for hours.

Protecting your skin from the UVB and UVA rays is super important to prevent premature aging and for a variety of other reasons as well.

That is why I was thrilled when I came across a wonderful product which literally is SUN IN A BOTTLE.

So ladies, let me introduce you to my holy grail product for healthy looking sunkissed skin.

Clarins Radiance-Plus Golden Glow Booster is a customizable, gradually buildable oil to get a beautiful, natural and glowing tan. I have used this product for at least 11 months now and I just LOVE the way my skin looks. It gives you an even, very natural tan.

Info on my skin:

  • Combination skin
  • My t-zone (especially my forehead) tends to be a bit more oily.
  • Acne scars on my cheeks
  • Prone to breakouts (especially along my jawline and cheeks) and thus I am very careful with what I put on my face.

You  may think that combination skin and oil does not go together but I truly have to say that I only had great experiences with the Radiance -Plus Golden Glow Booster and it didn’t break me out at all.

If you are worrying that this is another stinking, streaking self-tanner than let me reassure you. The light fragrance reminds me of caramel (and it actually has caramel in it).

How I use it:

I mix 3-5 drops into my day/night moisturizer and once mixed in, the ‘fragrance’ will almost disappear. The tan takes about an hour to develop. If you mix it in with your day moisturizer keep that in mind when you apply your foundation – we don’t want our foundation to be too light. If you apply it at night – well. wake up the next morning with a sexy tanned face 🙂

I take a pea size of my moisturizer, add the oil, rub the mixture together and apply it to my face, décolleté and chest.

Make sure you wash your hands right away after you are done applying the booster, otherwise it may stain your fingernails.

 

Moisturizer:

I love the fact that you simply mix a few drops into your moisturizer and gradually build up the intensity of your tan to your personal liking. I like to use the Murad Essential C Day Moisturizer (this is my favorite moisturizer) because it includes SPF 30 and is incredibly light. The smell of citrus gives me an extra energy boost in the morning and it is also perfect to use as your make up base. But of course you can use any moisturizer you like.

The finish is just gorgeous – as if the sun naturally kissed you and you are glowing from within!

I also love to accentuate my tan even more with a little highlight on my cheekbones, above my brows, collarbones and shoulders.

  1. Great post! I love a tanned natural look too and am currently in love with the bare minerals sheer sun bronzing serum! It’s great for contouring or if you want a really natural looking tan it’s great for popping along your nose, cheekbones and forehead where the sun would naturally hit your face! Xx

      I have heard so much about the bare minerals one and I am actually looking for a liquid contour…I was originally thinking of the liquid Hoola bronzer from Benefit but I may check out the one you suggested 🙂

      1. I tried the liquid hoola the other day and I found it a little bit pale for me- more of a beige than a bronze, which is a shame cos I had been waiting for the release date 😂😂 But you might love it, I’m fairly olive skinned so was just too light for me. Loved that it was matte though! Xx

My skin is far from being perfect but I will share in one of my future posts on how I cleared my acne and smoothed my acne scars (I am still testing one product in particular to make sure I recommend only something I stand 100% behind), and minimzed my big pores.

          1. Oh I live right near Burleigh Heads! Best beaches 🙂 I’ve been to Hawaii, just the main touristy part, but want to come back and do some off the track exploring! Hope the weather over there is warm for you guys 🙂
