Aloha and welcome to my blog!

I would like to start by showing you this quote which I recently came across. I took it as if the universe was giving me a little sign ;-)! So here I am..writing my very first blog post!

I love this quote in particular because I can relate to the message in so many ways and I am sure you do, too ;-)! The very first step (no matter which journey you are about to embark on) may be the most difficult and scariest one to do, however it can be exactly this very first step that will start the magic! TAKE THE CHANCE!

Remember that if you don’t try, you will never know if you would have succeeded…so I believe that you are already half way there to where you want to be, by only trying and giving it your very best! Also, in my opinion there is no failing in life because even if you don’t succeed at first you are already one step ahead from where you were yesterday and also more rich in experience. In a time where we, especially as women, tend to compare ourselves to others – I can only say that the only threshold you should have is your own and the only competition you should beat is the person you were yesterday!

I would like to tell you a little bit about myself and how I took my first steps:

My name is Claudia Marie and I am extremely passionate, curious as well as grateful for all the beautiful things that life has in stock for us. I would like to share with you this passion and take you with me on my fitness and health journey, as well as share my favorites in makeup, beauty and wellness and also bring closer to you the little wonders that life and our planet has to offer in form of different places, people, cultures and cuisines. I want this to be a place where we all feel inspired, motivated and empowered to be the best version we can be!

In my upcoming blog posts I would like to share with you guys how I lost 60lbs, how I managed to keep it off, how I discovered the benefits of working out (and this is coming from someone who didn’t like doing any sports) and finding out what type of fitness suits me best. Last but not least, I want to write about how I changed my nutrition and made it more of a lifestyle change rather than a ‘diet’.

It is an ongoing journey in which I  passionately work on becoming the strongest and healthiest me. Come join me! I now! believe that like everything in life, it is all about balance and moderation (and believe me when I say that this was a big adjustment for someone who constantly used to have (and occasionally still has) an ‘eat Nutella straight out of the jar’ binge). Nutella is my vice 😉

I also will share my love for beauty and wellness as I believe that by accentuating your inner beauty (the radiance of your eyes, the warmth of your smile, etc…) you can take a step towards feeling more gorgeous, confident and happy! Don’t we all want that?

I can’t wait to hear about all about your journeys and get inspired by YOU!

Here some quick FAQ’s about me:

Q: Where are you from?

A: I am half German and half French even though I consider myself being a citizen of the world 🙂

Q: Which languages do you speak?

A: I speak French, German, English, Spanish and a little bit of Italian.

Q: What are your favorite traveling experiences?

A: 1) I have spent the majority of my summers in the South of France visiting  my family. This had a huge impact on me and definitely shaped me to the person I am today.

2) I have traveled around Australia in a 4×4 for a whole year. This experience made me appreciate the beauty our little planet has to offer. It also made me fall in love with Australia and thus I returned  later to accomplish my degree in psychology.

3) I have spent 4 months in Costa Rica where I stayed in a such a lovely costa rican host family. I went to a language school to learn Spanish and also worked in an orphanage.During this time I experienced one of the most beautiful and richest (flora and fauna wise) countries and made the most special of all connections.

4) I have traveled around Europe (Italy, Spain, Austria, Switzerland,  Ireland, UK…) and experienced its rich culture and history which I am in awe of.

I am also lucky having traveled to a variety of places within the USA (New York, New Orleans, San Francisco, Las Vegas, Lake Tahoe, Arizona, LA and San Diego) which I absolutely loved! I love camping in beautiful Arizona and Hawai’i

5) I also have traveled to several islands (Bali, Fiji, Dominican Republic and several of the Hawaiian islands). I live on the beautiful island of O’ahu, Hawai’i and its beauty, strength and grace is what fascinates me every single day.

Q: What are some of your holy grail makeup items?

A: Matte eye liner (I can’t live without the wing ;-)), a bronzer (for that sunkissed and  naturally contoured look) and a nice nude lipstick.

Q: How do you relax?

A: Being in the ocean and feeling the sun on my skin is therapeutic for me! If this is not available at the moment, I love to make a spa night at home and read a nice book all bundled up on the sofa.

Mahalo for reading my first blog post. I hope you enjoyed it and are excited for everything that will follow. Please leave a comment below and let’s chat!

Have a lovely day and take this as my little sign to you…to take the first step ;-)!

    1. Thank you so much for your support here.
I hope you will find some inspiration here 🙂 but I know you can do it! I know that at the beginning one is so motivated and that it may change once you feel a bit stuck. But think of it as a lifestyle change (that is how you are going to keep the weight off).

      Wishing you a wonderful day!

      with aloha,
